Okay so here's the thing about spring rush. It's on a much much MUCH smaller scale, meaning sororities can only take a certain number, if they are taking at all. This is not because they want to, but if they need to make a benchmark number for Panhel. So only the sororities who have room to take members will be rushing. With that said, you don't get to meet every house and you don't get to spend as much time at the houses you do go to as you would during formal recruitment. Alternatively, it's less stressful and a shorter process and generally speaking you will be super close with your pledge class because you aren't in a group of 50+ girls. However, I rushed my freshmen year spring and did not return to any houses because I felt like I didn't fit with either. The other houses that were rushing I heard bad things about. In the end I rushed formal and chose the house I had avoided going to in the first place. So you could miss some good opportunities. Check the Facebook sorority recruitment page; updates will be probably in a few weeks but all the info you need is there
