Well I'll be damned. I wasn't exactly aware of all this. I just know more than one girl that had an abysmal experience for spring rush, and they are really strong in their academics as well as philanthropy. Also, rushing "enough" houses isn't as easy as you say, because the sororities had overlapping open houses and forced girls to choose, rather than explore all options. Combine that with only having so much free time and your system isn't exactly all-encompassing. Just being constructive.
