That's the perfect attitude to have about rush! And yes, I'd say if you (OP) didn't find the right house this year, informal should be better. It's much more relaxed and real personalities shine through better. That being said, I'd try to make some friends with girls already in houses this semester, so you can get a better idea of Greek Life and the general personality of each chapter for next fall. In theory, about six houses should do informal, but their number of available spots will range from one to fifteen. Good luck!
