I appreciate the spirit of what you're trying to do, but I think you know that it's not true. I agree that from a personality standpoint, you can't really tell a difference. Every sorority has girls who are preppy, quirky, nerdy, athletic, extroverted, introverted, etc... You'll find girls from DG and DZ who are engineering majors, just as you'll find girls from Alpha Phi and AEPHi who are fashionistas. But let’s be real — there is a difference in physical appearance. How do you think the “top tier” houses handle recruitment? If there were PNMs with identical “on paper” qualifications that actives really liked during recruitment, and you had one spot in your PC remaining, who do you think is getting that spot — the attractive thin girl or the not as attractive and not as thin girl? We all know the answer. That’s just the social order of things. Right or wrong, that’s how it is and how it always will be. As mean as this sounds, I probably couldn’t tell the difference between a girl in DG and Alpha Phi, but I can DEFINITELY tell the difference between a girl in DG and DZ or Alpha Phi and AEPHI.
