All chapters give bids to Sophomores. Some chapters will limit the number. Your biggest hiderance will be your GPA if you don't bring it up. Think about informal recruitment too. In the fall, chapters that are under the re-set total will have informal recruitment (COB). The number of openings typically depends on the number of seniors that graduate vs. the other chapters. If a chapter only has a few openings, they may not have open parties. Members will invite friends instead. If a chapter has a lot of openings, they will have parties.
