Subject:
aphi kkg dg breakdown top sororities

Poster Message:
An unbiased analysis of the sororities from someone unaffiliated. Looking at the pledge classes and meeting the returning juniors this is the sorority break down. PSA don't look at insta as a measure, meet the girls in the rush room and just get a feel on campus all the girls are great but different vibes, you can't go wrong with people though all of them are great girls. Top is definitely Aphi/Kappa/DG, KKG and APhi are very similar with some of the most outgoing girls on campus, DG's are harder to come by as they don't really socialize as much and are far more reserved. Aphi: The dues are a little high the first year but if you can't afford it then you don't fit the Aphi type anyways. The girls are known for having money but the connections you can get in Aphi are incredible because of this. They will be at the parties and they will have a presence on the campus. As for the selection of Aphi, the pledge class last year was very strong with some very prominent girls. You will recognize them from instagram and from going out because they are very outgoing. There is a mix between the grades but Aphi is only getting stronger which is definitely a plus. A downside is their reputation as being partiers. Since coming off probation they have settled down a lot so this stereotype is likely to not be true once that generation graduates. KKG: Overall the juniors and seniors are great girls, the pledge class was a little weak last year for freshman girls but overall still had some good girls. KKG is a little more pretentious but the juniors are super great and don't follow this stereotype. They have cliques but overall are a lot like Aphi, a little less outgoing but still pretty and fun girls. Their freshmans last year definitely took the baton from Aphi as partiers and were often the ones that didn't make it through the night. Since the juniors returned it has definitely improved the sorority. Overall a good sorority. DG: their senior class isn't super strong, their junior class is incredibly strong and their freshman pledge class last year was the worst of the 3. They don't have much of a presence on campus but preach the DG stereotype from other schools while not really following it. At Pepperdine they are very reserved some go out but in general you have to go out of your way to find and interact with DG's. DG nationally is an amazing sorority but the Pepperdine chapter seems to be the girls that aren't as outgoing and prominent. You will see these girls on instagram but in person is a different story. Very kind girls just not as much of a statement as KKG and Aphi. You can focus on stereotypes but at the end of the day it just comes down to who puts themselves out there which is bound to end up in scrutiny. The people chosen for each pledge class tell a lot about the sororities' direction they're headed either staying at the top or becoming irrelevant so get to know the sophomores and you can tell if the sorority is on the up or not. At the end of the day you'll know which sorority you belong in and which you'll be happiest it doesn't even have
