formal sorority recruitment is in the fall (2 weekends in sep), while some sororities also do informal spring recruitment. frats all usually do fall rush and some also might do spring. legacy influence depends on the chapter, different orgs will have different policies. most people dont have legacy/rec letters, you might stand out a bit more but it's not a guaranteed bid. as for driving, just dont. the subway's faster (no traffic) and parking is expensive/impossible to find.
