100% agree. To be "above average" you have to be remarkable/memorable in a good way on top of just being a pleasant conversationalist. Plenty of amazing, sweet girls go through recruitment but end up in less selective houses because they were totally unremarkable and never made enough of an impression to get more than just "she was nice". Maybe you had a dope study abroad experience, or you're from a unique place, or you're really into some kind of sports, or you have some kind of interesting hobby. Don't just avoid giving them a reason to drop you, give them something to remember you by. On top of that, there are things that a LOT of girls are into that you could joke about together. If you think it's appropriate in the moment, quoting The Office, The Bachelor, Vine, Youtubers, etc. might give you more things to talk about.
