<strong>Subject:</strong><br />Diversity in Frats?<br /><br /> Poster Message:
I’m an incoming freshman planning to rush, but I’ve heard there isn’t much diversity in greek life at Miami or in general. I’ve heard people recommend pledging a cultural fear is you’re not white, but I’m looking for the more “traditional” brotherhood experience and I don’t think I would fit in much as a guy from the suburbs of Warren County, OH. I’ve heard it can be a bit difficult to get a bid if you’re not white and that seems to align with their homogenous pledge classes on their instagrams. I know a few guys who are already in frats and they said that most frats have a couple token poc brothers which makes me a little hopeful. I guess I’m asking how likely it is that I get a bid from a decent house and if racial stigmas are present in greek life? Are some houses more inclusive/diverse than others?
