Subject:
pt 4: my objective opinion of sororities at furman

Poster Message:
That might not actually be true, but there’s always some truth to a stereotype. TRIDELT has a really strong group of girls in the upper ranks of the sorority, just as good as any toe to toe. But as you look down to the people you’ve never even seen in all 4 years at Furman, you have to wonder what life is like on the inside. Like DG, you should investigate for yourself, they could be a great fit for you, or fun to hang out with, or not, so make sure you cut through the BS to figure out what they are actually like. Some are diamonds in the rough. BOTTOM TIER: KAPPA Everyone you talk to will say Kappa is weird. Nice, but weird. The bottom is just where they happen to fall. But you should ask yourself, honestly is that so bad? At the end of the day sororities at furman are nothing more than social clubs. They don’t really host any fun events besides a few functions a year, and girls who join them end up being friends with the girls they were friends with before joining. You don’t have to join one to have fun, but it’s a way of saying you are fun without proving it (a paradox I know). They serve essentially to help you meet new people if you’re in one, but they pretty much succeeded in segregation the entire female population at Furman.
