I would also add, that all social sorority memberships by nature are elitist in that the cost to be a member is a way to restrict access to individuals not in the same economic demographic as most of the members. The limited number of scholarships available supports this practice. Im not opposed to sororities at all, but understand the reality of being a member and the expense you will incur is an important component in making this decision.
