You asked why would anyone want to join a new fraternity “that starts out bottom tier”? The answer is that they will not start out bottom tier. We’re not like sororities. The bottom tier sororities have always been bottom tier, both before they left and after they came back. Fraternities value free market competition. Big nationals like Signa Chi and Lambda Chj with great expansion programs will come in and do well immediately. The brutal truth is that the bottom tier fraternities at FSU today have pretty much always been bottom tier. If FSU or IFC had the ability to help them, they'd be better. FSU IFC should bring in fraternities with records of success.
