Jesus Christ I have never seen worse self-ranking than what Phi Tau is up to right now. Anyway, to clear up some lies that are being spread, lets go down the list and talk about WHY they are suspended for the fall. Per the OFSL website: - Incident date - February 9, 2019: SOCC 1.f.8(f): Possession/Consumption of Alcohol Under 21- Found Responsible - Incident date - February 9, 2019: SOCC 1.f.8(j): Open Party-no reasonable steps to ensure legal compliance - Found Responsible - Incident date - February 9, 2019: SOCC 1.f.8(k): Failure to Reduce Risk of Underage Alcohol Consumption - Found Responsible - Incident date - February 9, 2019: SOCC 1.f.4(a): Hazing - Found Responsible - Incident date - February 9, 2019: SOCC 1.f.2(b): Endangering Health, Safety, Well-Being of Others - Found Responsible And honestly we all do those things, the difference is these guys were dumb enough to get caught. Or snitched on. Or both. - Anyway, during fall they have to comply with the following(this is all word-for-word from their page): - Require 75% of all members enrolled in courses must complete risk management seminar prior to the Spring 2020 semester (this is in addition to any other risk management requirements in place by FSU for Fall or Spring and beyond). - Prohibited from formal events with alcohol at all chapter facilities. - Find an alternative location for tailgates that is safe and campus-friendly. - Be allowed no more than two events with alcohol (except tailgates) which are registered with IFC and approved by the local Board of Governors. Events must be at an off-site third-party vendor location. - Hold all new member meetings on campus, not in any chapter facilities, with a member of the advisory team (Phi Kappa Tau Board of Governors, other Board of Governors-approved chapter alumni, and/or applicable University staff member) physically present at all times. - Have the National Headquarters host ritual weekend. - Require all members to participate in a Career Center program or offering by the end of the semester. The chapter commits to having this requirement continue in future semesters. So don’t believe the lies with no proof or backup telling you they aren’t suspended. They literally can’t do anything outside of pack derd like a sardine tin every night. No tailgates? Alcohol-free housing that might actually get enforced? A live-in advisor from nationals breathing down your neck at all times? Damn, sounds like a blast. Rush phi tau I guess
