If the chapter sizes have stayed the same then that means that the balance is right. Competition is all well and good but not if there is a shrinking pool of potential members. What is "better" if the pledge class sizes are too small from too many fraternities coming back on too quickly and not enough rushees to go around? Where is the "energy" in a 10 person pledge class? Where is the money coming from to pay for the tailgates and parties and everything else socially? You need a certain amount of dues coming in every semester and you must fill every room in the house. You want to rent rooms to geeds to make ends meet? I'm just saying that letting nine houses back on all at once and expecting magic to happen is unrealistic. Just need to consider supply and demand or the whole system tanks.
