Giving out a bid is expensive. Sororities are businesses. It’s all about cost vs reward. If they really never get to charge you for dues they make no money off of you. This is why sororities really like freshman. You can make a lot of money off of girls who will be here for 4 years. Also people keep mentioning bottom houses taking second semester seniors but it’s almost even harder for them to take seniors because they have so little money. They can’t afford to let girls join and them not even pay at least a year of dues. This is also why bottom houses take a lot of weirdos, for their money.
