If by "old" you mean junior or senior, the AOPi colony recruitment might be a really good option for you. Our national rep explained how it works (prob the same with AOPi): They try to get a group of different classes (freshmen, soph, juniors, and even some seniors) so that there will not be a sudden graduation of all of the founding members at once. Chances are competition will be hardest for the freshmen spots, and less competitive for upper class spots. Of course, I have no insight into how AOPi will do it. I suggest you check it out though.
