For sororities it doesn’t really matter because there’s only 13 of them and they’re going to have enough programs to where the money is worth it, but for guys joining a low tier frat is hard. They’re often just starting up and don’t have any programs or connections and are ignored largely by top sororities so they could be a waste of money. It’s especially a gamble if they’re just chartering because out of the 32 fraternities on campus maybe 14 are relevant and only 1 in 3ish new frats will be successful.
