What makes a sorority a top house? Defined preference. If you prefer molded women, that to you may be a top house. If you prefer many alums who are actresses and politicians, that to you may be a top house. If you prefer what others may define as 'random' sisters, that to you may be a top house. If you prefer a group historically populated and/or founded by women of one particular religious influence, that to you may be a top house. Bottom houses are similarly defined, this time by using "don't prefers" to categorize a house as bottom. The 26 NPC sorority groups appreciate one another's differences and have long worked for the betterment of women and society. NPC sororities work together without calling-out each individual group's traditions, values, standards and choices as completely wrong. Friendship works the same way: you live your life and allow your chosen friends to live theirs while sometimes working together within a defined shared space of similarity.
