2/ My point is, you can hear rumors of what other chapters are doing, but it's often conflated to some degree. Also, if you base what other chapters are doing as a result of what girls are posting on social media, you are getting a totally skewed image. I remember one time my fraternity threw a very lame pool party (one of the other fraternities was hosting a philo that day, another chapter in Vegas, etc.) and one of our “frat rats” posted a photo on Instagram looking like she was having the time of her life. Meanwhile, the 4 girls that were in the photo with her were the only girls there. Have you ever posted a bad photo on Instagram? Facebook? It’s a highlight reel, don’t base reality off of that.
