Partially copied from a post in another thread: Greek life at TSU is awesome. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Do not go into recruitment at TSU with your heart set on one chapter, and don't listen to what anyone says about one chapter or another - it's not their decision to make, and only you know what sisterhood(s) will feel right for you. As for the stupid rankings on this site - IGNORE them. It's hard to "rank" groups on a campus like Tarleton where every group has a different personality. Specific membership selection criteria is confidential, but honestly, grades are probably #1 on everyone's list (at least that's the easiest reason to cut someone when they have to decide on people they don't really know), then equal parts personal appearance/activities & achievements/personality/known reputation and what a person has to add to the chapter leadership-wise. Legacies get a closer look, but they are NOT guaranteed a bid from day 1. No one asks what your daddy makes or cares about what kind of car you drive. The only thing money is relevant for is to make sure you can afford the financial obligation of being in a sorority. No chapter wants to put the effort into bringing someone into the chapter who is just going to get kicked out for financial reasons. Be yourself, ask lots of questions, clean up your social media (!!! seriously, clean it up), and go in with an open mind. Every NPC sorority at Tarleton has something to offer.
