I'm in a bottom house and do agree with this ranking, BUT have to say that even the bottom tier sororities are tons of fun! We still have a strong sisterhood and still experience all the same things the top houses do.

This is pretty spot on. XO and DDD will always be a little bit above. They were the first two houses at Ole Miss, both founded in 1901. KD, like DG is a good house but neither claim elite status like ddd and xo as they do not get majority tippity top girls from wealthy southern families, which is what xo and ddd get. KD and DG will forever be competing against each other for top tier status in any way possible, always hating the other. DDD and xo rush the same type girls while KD and DG Rush the same type girls. Kappa and phi mu tend to rush the same girls and so on.

You don't have to be rich to get into any of them. But you do need to have connections to get into the top 4 (DDD, XO, KD, DG) Being from a wealthy, southern family will help.

Connections really help with KKG and phi mu, but aren't 100% necessary. Pretty girls without connections can get into these easy.

There are rich girls with daddy's credit card in every sorority, it just seems that tri delt throws money around more than other houses. They raised almost $200,000 for their philanthropy last year. You can bet their parents and alumni had something to do with that. They also throw over the top date parties and other event. They brag every year about their bid day gifts like it's important to waste money on trivial items. Who honestly needs a "bed covered in gifts".

You can see their members driving fancy cars carrying designer handbags, and wearing an arm full of David Yurman.

No sour grapes here. Just being honest about what we see and hear.
