fraternity rush

So I'm 21, a sophomore, and just transferred here and want to join a fraternity. Obviously I'd be the oldest kid in the pledge class (if I receive a bid). I'm just curious to know if fraternities usually gives bid to older kids.

why exactly would I be bumped? I wouldn't turn 21 until the end of September. Obviously it would cause a bit of imbalance in the pledge class, but would I really be bumped because of my age?

That isn't what O.o meant I don't think. People "bump" threads on here all the time to make the thread go to the top of the first page so that more people will see it and hopefully reply.
