Wait how and why would people go out or party during orientation? Like one: shouldn't you be tired? Two: you don't know anybody so how did you get invited? And three: shouldn't you be focusing on more important things?

It's not really their first weekend in college, they're still at orientation. The pnms can do whatever they want, but they just need to be aware that partying may not be in their best interest right now

Sure you COULD go to a party and have it not affect your rush, but chances are it will. There are so many ways to make a bad impression when you're drinking, and just the fact that you're there will likely rub actives the wrong way. There will be plenty of parties after rush! You have 4 great years ahead of you; be patient.
