Should we make the pledges wear full suits and ties?

by: X

Some of the brothers in my chapter have thrown around the idea of making the pledges wear full suits and ties every day while they are pledging. What do you think? Make us seem too try hard?

You are just trying to discourage Grant from joining.

No. Suits are traditionally worn by new boys on game days at the University. During the semester and at class, NBs should wear long pants and a collared shirt that is tucked in. No hats.

I’d say every other day. On non-suit days they can wear a tucked in polo, khakis, and nice shoes.

Pledges are representing the fraternity so they should always be dressed well. This should mean a tailored suit (dark colored), white dress shirt, tie, and shined black or brown shoes. Hair should be neatly groomed and pledges should be clean shaven. Every day during the pledge period, including the weekends
