what to bring

by: Otherrushee

During the days of all the parties what should we bring for our little plastic bag/how big is it? I know people have been saying bring slip on sandals, but won't those be awkward to carry around while trying to talk to sisters?

you just leave your bag and shoes outside the houses under tents when you go inside!

Do bring flats, a brush, hand mirror, gloss, blotters for the heat, anything you need to freshen up in the 100 degree heat. Some people bring hand held fans. You will also need to stay hydrated!! Every year someone gets faint from the heat and lack of water. Like the answer before says, you leave your bag in tents so no worries about dealing with them in the house. You will have down time (where you usually wait in a frat house) to freshen up and cool down. It is a kind of grueling process so put anything you need to take care of yourself in your tote. You will be glad you did!!

I agree with all the tips on here but here are a couple more: bring some Tylenol PM to help you sleep after such a stressful day. Plus your feet and neck will likely be achy.
Bring blister pads because walking to the Greek and standing all day in heels with blisters would be awful.
You might not think you need these but will be grateful for them if you do.

It is so hot both outside and in the packed houses that please remember to stay hydrated. A bottled water for between houses is a must. All the other things listed on here are great but don't matter if you pass out from heat exhaustion. It happens people.

I think this could be one of the most important threads on here. You should bring all the things listed on here. It is so easy to forget about this but so important to helping you be your best on these long, hot and stressful days.

So many great posts on this one! Above all is WATER! A hand held fan, blotters...It's going to be August in Texas HOT. Especially if your from out of state this can be a shock. Do not be the girl who passes out.
