Kappa Alpha Theta - ΚΑΘ Sorority at University of Mississippi - Ole Miss 3.8 A bit of advice for the upper ranking Thetas....if you really want to turn this sorority around, add some exclusivity to your membership. Everyone wants what is harder to work for and get. You have a great pledge class this year. Most of the new pledges did not pick Theta as their first choice which is sad. How about this-increase your GPA requirements, require a recommendation letter, and increase the rate of your dues so that improvements can be made for your house. Your reputation is what you made it. It may take years and several good pledge classes to improve your reputation but it is not impossible to do. This year, you are off to a good start. Do not accept last place. Make yourself more desirable by playing harder to get. Shame on the Panhellenic council and Ole Miss for letting this great sorority achieve this reputation. Rush is stressful enough for freshmen without having to deal with backlash of being a Theta. Theta is undeserving of its reputation but it needs help to pull itself up.

I have to say, this pledge class could really be the one to pull Theta up---so many smart, beautiful, and sociable girls. The actives have been so welcoming and genuine, and even though some of the pledges did not expect to get a Theta bid, they sure have joined one of the best pledge classes for Theta in years. Wishing this sorority the best, but they probably don't need it because they've already got the best!
