As a new Initiate, our Chapter Treasurer has asked me to pay him extra dues. He said it goes to help pay for next semesters social events. He did not ask other Actives for this payment, just a few of the newly initiated. He wants it the first week of the semester.

How can we fight back. He wanted it in cash.

Of course it happened to you as well, you're the person who posted it the first time, and every time afterwards for that matter.

A concerned UT Greek who witnessed inner Chapter fraud and embezzlement. The Chapter caught this officer and he repaid the amount in full. We heard of several other similar incidences over the past few years.

After reading the opposing posts, it clearly appears these Chapter crooks do not take their criminal acts seriously and find it funny. Hopefully the first criminal charge will get their attention.

I don't think that officers are the ones opposing what you have posted like a billion times. As somebody that has opposed what you said, and is not an officer in my chapter, I find all your post hilarious because of how obsessed you are with something that isn't actually an issue in Greek life.

We just got hit up for an extra social life Chapter contribution. Mainly the freshman were asked. Our Chapter Trez said he would prefer cash to buy the items that day. Friday nights party was basic, nothing out of the ordinary. Except $100 bucks lighter in the wallet. I plan to bring it up at Chapter Meeting.

It appears the posts on this thread are accurate.

If your a Junior Initiate, you could alienate yourself from a corrupt Chapter Leadership.
You should team-up with other Freshmen to present your concerns at Chapter.

Good luck!

Just interested, because I came across this site on Google when reading an article about hazing. As an '05 grad and an alumni SAE from Texas, what is the proof, and where/was this actually reported by a credible source? If so, does anybody have the link to the report? I'm sure it wasn't going on when I was there for certain reasons, I would like to read what facts, or conjecture has been reported on this. If there's none, than who made the initial claim, why, and to what end? Any info would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

These are just unsubstantiated claims that the same person has been posting on here over and over. Every time someone asks for a link or any actual proof, he/she just calls them a corrupt chapter officer, and then posts like 5 bs stories coming from "different" people about how they were all getting shafted by their chapter. I honestly think that someone is just trying to generate traffic on the site.

The average UT Chapter has an annual budget of over $2 million. (See List above)
Embezzlement at that level is a Criminal Felony.

Look Out Corrupt Chapter Officiers!

Do you even know how to read? The above breakdown shows the overall value of a chapter based on members, dues, property value, and cashflow. Aka not a budget. Based on the same information you're basing that the "average" chapter at UT has a budget of over 2 million dollars, you can actually see that only 2 of the 24 fraternities at Texas would fall into that category. Hardly an average. Try harder troll.
