how to do well at COB to up chances of getting a bid?

A lot of chapters met quota this year, so it's doubtful they'll be cobing this semester.

It's mostly about knowing the girls in the chapter. As said before almost all chapters made quota but there is normally COB in the spring. Come through be yourself and it will all work out :)

There will be a spring recruitment period organized by panhel. It will be similar to the fall one but with less girls and a lot less stress. You'll have a chance to go through all the rooms that are looking to get more girls and go from there. REALIZE not all sororities will be doing this, only the ones who have girls go on exchange or drop will take on more girls. Normally they take less than 5.

To keep your chances high of getting a bid, when you are going through dress to impress, be yourself and stay positive. A lot of the girls who come through in the spring are very hesitant but if you come through with confidence and show that you are excited to join you shouldn't have a problem finding the right sorority for you :)

Thanks for the advice! If a sorority did not reach quota for fall, will they be open for Spring?
