University of British Columbia - UBC 3.0 Overall, Greek life at UBC is okay. It's nothing like how it was 5 years ago, but it's still a decent time. Recruitment numbers have been decreasing every year since 2017 and involvement amongst Greeks has been low in the last few years. Recruitment competition for sororities is average, and is much lower than it was in 2016 or something, so to speak. I was an RC this year and most girls did end up in one of their top picks. Nonetheless, selection for the "Top 4" (ADPi, Gamma Phi, DG, Kappa) is more competitive than the other chapters. A lot of people have been saying the Greek system here is dying out, which in some ways, it is. But it's still a great way to get involved and meet people.
