Getting kicked off means nothing
by: lolIt's pretty clear that getting kicked off campus or put on probation means nothing anymore. Acacia, Delts, Sigs, Pike, A Phi, Pi Phi, and others are still fully operating and there is nothing the university can do about it. Houses at other schools have successfully made movements to leave IFC and university affiliation as well, and have proven it to be effective. With the university building apartments left and right, their intentions are clear. Who needs them looking over our shoulders anyway?

Actually a huge difference. If cops come to a party and bust it, guess who protects and helps you out? IFC. Without IFC, cops could prosecute any way they please.

If you kicked off (revocation of recognition)
1. University does not even list you as part of IFC,
and incoming students/parents dont even know you exist
2. Uni might even send a letter recommending parents dont let their kids join - they have done that in the past
3. Uni will not stick up for you if cops come knocking
4. If you do something stupid, being in Acacia will count as a strike before you in expulsion proceedings to get kicked out of school
5. Your nationals will only tolerate it so long before pulling the plug
6. Your alums will only tolerate it so long before pulling the plug.
Is that enough?

One more -
Probation - a semester or two goes by, you are automatically back in
Revocation - after a few years, you have to beg to be let back in, and depending how you act during that time, they do not have to say yes.

Please inform me of what those houses can do that acacia cannot since there is such a huggeeeee difference.
