which frat is best
by: FreshI'm trying to join a frat this year. I'm not sure which to join? Is there levels of them that are better than others or tiers? I went to a couple parties and they were fun!

It depends what you are looking for... Rankings change a lot over time.
Based on Last year it seems to be (Based on: Grades, Philanthropy, Involvement and Athletics)
Teir 1 - Sig, Ep, Pike
Teir 2 - Phi Psi, Fiji
Teir 3 - SAE, Pi Kap,
Teir 4 - Triangle, Theta Chi (suspended until 2015), KDR, Alpha Sig
Two-Three years ago (Based on: Grades, Philanthropy, Involvement and Athletics)
Teir 1 - Sig Ep, Pike, Alpha Sig
Teir 2 - Pi Kap
Teir 3 - Phi Psi, SAE, KDR
Teir 4 - Fiji, Theta chi, Triangle
Some chapters are consistently improving others are stagnate. You should really just go through recruitment week, and meet the chapters and find out what chapter's personality fits you best.

you'll def find a home in any fraternity. honestly, you have to pick the fraternity that YOU feel the most at home in. the graduate's rating is out of date. here are the real rankings:
Top Tier: Sig Ep, Pi Kapp
Mid Tier: Pike, FIJI, Phi Psi
Bottom Tier: SAE, KDR, Theta Chi, Triangle

How is Pi Kap 1st tier material? It was only last semester they finished last in grades...The bottom tier fraternities according to this bias post are coming up...you watch.
