Great school greek life is very common and involved on campus.

It’s amazing!

Greek Life here is actually super dope, everywhere around campus you'll see someone wearing letters or representing their organization. Tons of connections to the fraternity or sorority that they are in. Greek life is honestly awesome here.

The greek community at UT literally makes up any on campus event (Songfest, big event, wrap up, homecoming, Rockethon, etc). Without them there wouldn't be anyone supporting those philanthropic events. The greek housing isn’t the chapters fault; the on campus houses were made way back when and were only supposed to be used for 7-10 years at the most (it’s been almost triple that with minor renovations). Res life constantly is hounding chapters to fill their houses but the houses aren’t nice enough for people to want to live in them.

Greeks run the campus. While they've are once minoritu of numbers they are what make upcoming the majority of China clins and organizations on campus. Wondering who's the president of your organization? Probably someone from a fraternity or sorority. The only down side is the same select few Greeks are given everything. If you're not one of the chosens, you can pretty much kiss any leadership or scholarship opportunity goodbye.
