Do you still get a fun true southern sorority experience, even though you don't live in the houses?

Nope. This place is somewhat unique and not in a good way. If you want that true experience go elsewhere.

Vanderbilt, in the first place, is not a Southern university. It is a college that happens to be in the South, but it does not prescribe to Southern culture. Just look at how everyone here dresses. I was very disappointed after the first month or so of being on campus to realize this. North Easterners run the school. 2 sororities are known for recruiting more Southern women than most and I am sure you can figure those houses out on your own without me having to tell you.

Greek scene unique at Vanderbilt. Won't impact you as much as these pages suggest.
