I was at work (lifeguard) and I had my sorority letters on my water bottle. A woman from the same sorority (U of Florida though) squealed and asked me if I was her sister (omg she was so adorable). Greeks are all over the place!!!!!!! Being from the North is no excuse!! Ask every where!! If you meet an alum from a sorority we don't have, ask if she knows any one from a sorority we do have at Ole Miss! The rec won't be as personal but a rec is a rec!!! There are 1800 girls who are going to go through rush this year (more or less). You will not be the only northerner, but you will be the only one without a rec letter. You'll look unprepared and that you don't care as much as the northerner with a rec.
