If there are any conflicts with your schedule, talk to your Pi Chi about as soon as possible. Nothing happens during the first day of classes though. And if you're worried about a lab, labs pretty much never happen the first week because of registration and people adding or dropping classes. If you have a class that late, I suggest looking at changing it just because you're gonna be miserable being in class that late. For pref: you have to be at pref. There are usually 3 different parties (per house) so, you would have to let your pi chi know and you could be assigned to one of the later parties. Bid day, well, if you can't pick up your bid at that time you can't. Also something you need to let your pi chi know. There used to be a window from 2-5 where you could pick up your bid but we changed to this system just last year. You'll miss the fun of opening your bid with everyone else and running out of the student center to Tech Green to meet your new sisters. You don't have to be at bid day, but you'll regret missing it.
