Sometimes. It really depends. If a group is below total after December graduation, they may or may not hold informal recruitment. It depends on how many below total they are, if their nationals makes them, etc. In the past, Alpha Phi, Alpha Gamma Delta and Alpha Chi Omega have had spring pledge classes. It's not very structured though. As in, most groups don't publicize any informal recruitment events. It's more that they will invite girls they know over and see if they are a good fit. Your best shot is to get to know as many sorority girls (from different houses) that you can now and then ask them come the very beginning of January if their house is holding informal recruitment. If that doesn't work out for you, you can participate in Formal recruitment in the fall. The advantage of formal is that you get to meet girls from all of the houses, as opposed to the limited houses that may do informal. Be sure to get involved in clubs and organizations this year and keep your grades up!
