Are you an incoming freshman or a sophomore? If you are a sophomore and exceed in every other way perhaps since you are close an exception can be made. If your an incoming then honest suggestion? Hit the books first semester and knock it out the park then do winter recruitment. KD will grade cut you if you only have a 2.9 coming into school.
