rushing as a freshman!

im planning on rushing in the fall do they actually check the gpa for IFC or do you think you could just slide through?

No they really check and that's actually a big part of recruitment. I got dropped from one house cause I had a 3.5 and they only take GPAs higher then 3.5. so if you don't have a good GPA I would try to make straight A's senior year.

The sororities care a lot. I was dropped from multiple houses for having a 2.8. Fraternities don't care as much, though. If your GPA isn't high enough for IFC but they really like you, they'll just take you in secrecy. I know plenty of on-row "secret" brothers.
