I'm looking to rush in the spring, what are some good top/middle tier northern-ish frats?

1. Definitely don't use the word "frat".
2. If you're really northern, you're going to have a difficult time getting a bid from a top house. The respectable houses that take northerners would be Chi Psi, Pike, Beta, and Phi Sig.

Sigma Chi wont have a problem if you're just talking VA/MD. Chi Psi and Pi Kapp are less northern then in years passed but still take mostly VA/MD and a good prospect from any area could still get a bid there. Pike doesn't care where you're from and they're pretty good too. Pi Kapp and Chi Psi should be your reaches and Pike/Phi Sig/Beta are good choices as well and are less selective. SAE/SNU/KA and probably Sig Chi wont happen
