spring recruitment

Someone seems to be really struggling with the reasons her house is spring recruiting. No other house causes a girl's chapter to spring recruit. The houses at total or above don't spring recruit so that the houses below total can have the opportunity to recruit without the competition of houses who have house total or above. It is an attempt by panhellenic to help houses below total get their numbers up and closer to total before going into fall recruitment. Generally speaking houses at total increase their numbers during the fall because those houses can take quota which will keep their numbers above house total. Spring recruitment is simply a way to give house who need more members a chance to catch up on the numbers and get more girls.
The girl struggling with her house's spring recruitment should really concentrate on good aspects of her house without telling PNMs things that are not true. Concentrating on one's own spring recruitment will give a house the best possible outcome for that recruitment. Concentrating on houses not spring recruiting, does not affect those houses, but can keep girls away from all houses spring recruiting. It is not fair for one disappointed girl to possibly affect every house that is spring recruiting. Because this is an anonymous site the only houses that will have any negative consequences from the girl's bitter rantings are the houses spring recruiting. If you have something to say own it and don't hide behind anonymity.

This whole spring recruitment "war" that Chi O has waged because they don't have one single thing going for them is soooo stupid. I've never heard of any girl at any college basing their rush choices on spring recruitment. That's like an internal decision that nobody even cares about lol. I can think of at least one excellent house at OU that spring recruits and another not so great house that doesn't. Don't take my word for it. Look at any other college's websites on GR. It's a non issue.

It's true. Spring recruiting is only bad if it's because of a high dropout rate. That's the only thing that would make a spring recruiting house noticeably lower. Most houses spring recruit for other reasons which have been listed on here over and over. Somebody needs to get over it.
