spring rush
by: NobidsDoes having friends in the fall pledge class make much of a difference in getting into a fraternity? I have some good friends in a couple of houses I'm considering rushing but theyre only freshmen

There are more "cool" dudes rushing than we have bids to give out. If you're actually cool then having friends, even freshman, in the house will help you a ton. Upperclassmen and sophomores often ask the fall freshmen who their cool friends are (from home/their floor/their classes) who didn't get in places first round or didn't rush first round because we only have a few hours to get to know guys during rush, but a lot of the fall freshmen have had a whole semester I get to know some guys who are potential bids.
