Most sororities decide to participate and then they invite any sister interested to participate. Usually the chapter picks a captain to coordinate the dance or whatever competition.
I have heard ADPi and Zeta limit dances to really pretty girls who they know can really dance/cheet, but that's rumor as far as I know

Zeta let's anyone who wants to participate in, but it's usually only the girls who can dance that want to, because... they can dance. why would you want to be in an event you can't do. these rumors are so dumb lmao

im sure every sorority does that lol why wouldnt you want the best dancers in a dance competition
