Our fraternity officers said we were saving for the formal by having limited weekend parties.
The formal was a letdown. A barnyard style party, standard Country band, kegs, Barbeque, buses to the event.
No overnight accommodations. Just Donuts at the house when we returned at 2am.

We were told our social budget has been spent for the semester...
wtf....

It's about time this issue was discussed!

Please share any and all ideas to give Chapter Members who are being embezzled by their Chapter Officers.

There are substantial fees that we pay toward nationals, expensive insurance, and West Campus house property taxes and house maintenance, hence we do not get every penny we pay back for our own enjoyment. That aside, almost all of us have one or more independent audits every year. My chapter has an auditor come once every year or two, and our nationals performs its own audit on a yearly basis. Getting caught embezzling chapter funds by our national audit is a large part of why my chapter lost its original charter.

Those who stole from their Chapters should now contribute it back as alumni.
Let their guilt and fright of felony charges inspire them to repay the Chapter.

After paying almost $10 grand in Chapter fees and accessments this year, I am really concerned about the next year.
I cannot comprehend where all the money was spent. Our Chapter Treasurer said our social budget was very limited.
Who is getting all the money?

My summer job salary will go to next years Chapter fees.
I could sponsor several rad parties and have a blast with the money next year, instead of being active.
A serious consideration.....

Can't afford another year of being ripped-off.
Chapter fees are out of control.
They need to be cut in half.
Our weak party budget would remain the same.

Lets refuse to pay up front until the fees are cut!

Lets ask ALL incoming Freshman to require Chapter Fee Transparency.
Make all Chapters itemize the semester’s expenses.

THEN require them to defend the outrageous up-charges....
