A top tier sorority or fraternity, truly doesn't know that it is a top tier Greek house.
Let me explain: A top Greek house is only aware that it wants to instill deep bonds of lasting friendship, ethics and fond memories within the group that will carry on beyond college into personal and professional endeavors. A top Greek house doesn't think it is better than other organizations or people, but instead it tries to inspire and instill in each member and the group as a whole to improve their character and expand their capacity for giving to others and encouraging each other to be the best they can be. It wants to be involved in philanthropy, sports, education and honorable behavior. No matter what the cause it supports, it is an act of selflessness to aide and improve the circumstances of others. A top Greek house is accepting, open, safe place for its members by demonstrating these qualities to each other and to those OUTSIDE OF THE GROUP. It does not seek admiration or envy, but seeks to inspire purposeful pursuits. In essence; a top Greek house believes that the badge they wear doesn't make them better than someone else but encourages them to be a better person of character. And have respectable and healthy fun doing it.
