DZ might be top tier here but they are not great nationally. Texas schools such as UT or A&M would rank their DZ chapters as bottom tier. Tech doesn't even have a DZ chapter...you want a sorority that has strong nationals that will benefit you in the real world. Sororities such as Tri Delt, Kappa, ADPi, DG, Theta, Pi Phi have strong nationals. As you can see Tx State doesn't even have most of these top tier sororities, making Tx State Greek system pretty weak in general.

Our Greek system isn't exactly "top tier." Anyone could tell you that. What's your point? These organizations are all national and really your dedication and commitment to your organization is what will stand out on your resume rather than WHAT chapter you belonged to.

its really more important to belong to a top national tier group like Tri Delt, Kappa, ADPi, DG, Theta, Pi Phi, XO or even Gamma Phi

probably better than Gamma Phi at least in the South. They have a handful of good SEC chapters and are top tier at a lot of second and third tier Greek schools.
