how hard is it to get a bid? out of state non legacy

How hard is it to get a bid from top or upper houses when coming from out of state? I’m from Florida and not a legacy. Do I need to start networking now or does the first semester before rush give enough time?

SMU is a school with majority of its student body coming from out of state, also most are non-legacy. First semester will be more than enough time.

Depends how outgoing you are. But if you’re from Florida’s Figi and Theta seem like your vibe.

Get involved first semester and meet people. That is the best way to have a successful recruitment. Period.
