If I'm transferring to UMass from a top tier fraternity in a school that's big on Greek life is it even worth it to affiliate? The chapter at UMass is middle tier

It is 100% worth it to affiliate, if you actually had any pride in your fraternity you would do all you could to help your brothers (yes they are your brothers) be the top tier

Go to the house and introduce yourself. You might actually like the guys. I know some chapters like sig ep will make you re pledge (or at least did that in the past)

If you have to ask, then you have no pride in your frat but rather your local chapter only. That's weak.
