Kappa Kappa Gamma - ΚΚΓ Sorority Ratings at KU

Definitely a top house, but they also take such QR (questionable reputation)... swastika girl for example. Anyways, they are fun and always have a crazy bid day like my roommmate did her first line on bid day lol.. I loved her friends and then some were so stuck up and only talked about being a kappa. I feel like its a good mix though, but literally I think they go out every single night.

I liked them better than other top houses but they seem to have a general bad reputation among almost everyone on campus. Known for a lot of partying. I’ve met some cool girls from this house and other not so much, but that goes for any house really. Heavily dominated by Kansas City girls

Don’t understand the hype around this house. Recent pledge classes have not been up to par with what this house used to be known for. Except I will say they’re still know for heavy partying and let’s just say intense bid days. If that’s your style go for it but I would take the things you hear about this house very seriously. kappa is strong within the KC community, are known for taking ladies mostly from the johnson county area as well as “strong” out of state PNMs. are well known for being social and known to have a good time, which can be taken as either good or bad.

they’re a top house, and a lot of the girls act as if they’re superior because of it. Best word I can use to describe this house is “intense”, so if you’re into that... go for it.

so yeah— they’re considered a “top” house. but what they’re considered is different from how well liked they are and on average i’d say as a whole kappa is not very well liked. still some nice girls, but ya. also random but don’t like how their house isn’t on a street fr

kkg! honestly kappa is dope. they’re fun and did i mention fun. you don’t want to be in a group project with these girls but you want to party with them. i dont think they’re mean, maybe a lil stuck up but arent we all? if they took girls with better reputations itd help them look better but at the end of the day kappa is a top and we all know it, this new pc was amazing and had a ton of out of state girls that usually would have gone other houses. so shout out kappa u stole a ton of girls we wanted on pref!

reading about this house before recruitment last year made me extremely intimidated going into it, however I was blown away when I realized how welcomed and comfortable I felt getting invited back throughout the week. Especially coming from out of state I was nervous that they would be a house that booted me since I wasn’t from KC, but it was clear that they took time to read my letter of rec, I had really good conversations with some girls in the house, and even got to meet the president during house tour day. These girls love to go out, and are definitely popular with the frats. In big groups they can be intimidating, but after talking to Kappas one-on-one they’re definitely more down to earth than most people realize!!

i had kappa as my second choice during recruitment, and although i went with my other house i loved loved loved kappa. the girls were super chill, and i felt the most relaxed talking to them throughout the week. i genuinely think that they get a bad wrap just because they are one of the best houses on campus, and are known for being “wild” (which isn't a bad thing! to each their own). definitely don’t let some of the reviews on here scare you!!
