it seems like there isn't a large percent of greek life here? is the greek system strong on campus?

per percentage, it may not be that large...
but even 5-10% of 60,000 undergrads is a lot.

the greek system is super fun, and close knit. If you want to have fun at Ohio State, i'd go greek for sure.

Greek life isn't great at OSU, but in the past few years it's gotten a lot better. Usually the majority of homecoming court is greek, and the last three USG presidents have been greek. That being said, right now it's pretty small, and mostly because (most of) the individual organizations get way too competitive with eachother, and encourage only joining XYZ or nothing, as opposed to preaching going greek first.

Once we finally make get over the hump and EVERY organization stops being so competitive, it will get a lot better.
