This org is always getting pulled into drama that ain’t even their’s. Not just this org, but any org that’s chillin that others try to involve, I’m sorry people target you

Okay i’ve heard so many mixed reviews about this org. in the thread, can people list off what their actual problems are with this org? what do you like and what don’t you like?

I actually liked these women a lot. I don’t know why everyone hates them so much but I had a few that could always make me smile on the way to lecture

Okay so I actually signed up for recruitment my freshmen year and I had gotten a bid from Dphie. I was happy, but I dropped because I realized I simply was not happy studying in the city anymore. I’m not from new york and i’m literally from the other side of the country, so I chose to transfer to another uni closer to home...ironically though, I still ended up at Dphie! Dphie gets so much hate sometimes and I really don’t get why. You could try to jack that im biased but at the same time, we all know what I’m talking about. No one can come on here and bash this org without knowing an actual sister on a deeper level:..oh and yeah, when recruitment classes are so big, of course conversations are gonna sound repetitive or vague. PNMs forget that we are just as excited, as tired and as drained as them on these days! It’s kinda weird that WOC and plus size individuals are saying they felt uncomfortable. I’m filipina and dominican, and a size 24...everyone needs to hop off here with the hate. In celebration of starting my OWN chapter’s recruitment in a few days, I came back on here to provide pnm’s with my “memory lane”. Take if for what it’s worth. Like some universities might get low ratings, but it’s how you make your moments count and the people you meet that can make it so much better. We are all grown. Stop acting like toxic children! Love a sister from the Delta Eta chapter! 💜💛

Ngl I really wanted to join deeph and kind of went thru recruitment all for the org. Was heartbroken when I didn’t get the bid. Only org I felt welcomed in. Super diverse and amazing.

these girls are haterssss. wackest sorority on campus. Mean girls who pride themselves on diversity (they really don't care)

To those who are saying don’t let a few girls impression define the entire sorority- these are your RECRUITERS. They are supposed to be ur friendly FRONT and imagine... when multiple poc and plus size people speak up about the same problem- do you really have no problem at all?

every year I’ve seen this one sorority be denigrated on this website during recruitment. I’ve met so many women in it and they’ve all been kind and amicable. Every experience on this website is valuable but what isn’t is tearing an entire sorority down from the actions of a few recruiters. Those rules apply to every sorority but this one. Women supporting women applies to every sorority but this one. Watch the reaction this post will get it will most likely get downvoted though it is positive and doesn’t mention any other sorority in a negative way. Keep your heads up, you’re doing amazing work inside of your org and out. Don’t let these comments get to you.

I had the absolute worst experience with them. Maybe part of it is because nyu let 600 people sign up for recruitment rather than 300. The active members that interviewed me were not very nice and inclusive. Interrupted when PNMs were talking and seemed like they didn't want to be there at all. Facilitated very superficial conversations. I have no idea how they select PNMs but so far I didn't get to see a lot of their personalities. Top tier bc dphie is bc its founded here but it's not going to be for long.

Probably the best sorority at NYU (though they are slowly being bumped from number one) for the sole reason that they were founded here. If you go to any other school dphie is dead bottom or lower mid-tier and for good reason. They have poor alumni relations, the girls are fake and rude, and they don't really care about anything other than partying and their instagram feed. Very sad watching so many people want to join such a artificial group of girls.
